North Bay Unit is a chapter of the Back Country Horsemen organization serving equestrians throughout the North Bay region.
Our members share a commitment to protecting access to public lands while encouraging responsible recreation and stewardship.
We work cooperatively with land managers, public agencies, and other trail user groups to improve and maintain trails for everyone.
Members volunteer thousands of hours maintaining trails, clearing brush, repairing damage, and improving access.
We support policies and partnerships that preserve equestrian access to public lands.
We provide opportunities for members to learn about trail safety, horse camping, Leave No Trace principles, and responsible recreation.
We foster friendships and connections through rides, meetings, and volunteer projects.
